Queens Village, New York Sept. 3rd, 2011 – Christian Author, Paul C. Agard author of his new book, “The Mis-Education of Joy”, joins Remi Award winning Christian film Ministry, Five Talent Films Inc. Led by film maker, Glenn Bertelsen. For the better part of a year Paul and Glenn have collaborated on details of this amazing true story. The challenge was taking a book with a four hour movie in it and editing it down to two hours. “There was so much good stuff it the book, it about broke our hearts to delete things.”

Playing the part of Professor Jim Byrnes is actor Thomas Pantera. Besides theater acting and 2 movies to his credit, (“My Angel” and “The Choice”) Tom can be seen in Arizona colleges teaching. Tom seems like a perfect fit for the part of Professor Jim Byrnes. His counterpart, Joy Hunter (auditions to be held) is a 17 year old girl. The visual contrast between Professor Byrnes (Pantera) male 50s, and this young student will make this story all the more intriguing. The loss of Byrnes young daughter years earlier adds to the drama as Byrnes begins to see Joy in that role.
Actor, Dave Johnson will portray one of Byrnes 2 colleagues who occasionally meet in the college faculty room. The other is Award winning actor, Tim Blore. He and actor Dave Johnson will confront Byrnes more than once for some heated discussions about the role an educator has in the lives of their students.
Finally, Actor Marquis Jackson. Marquis will play Joy’s father in the movie, Dwayne Hunter. Dwayne is a caring Christian parent and the last thing he wants to see, is his only daughter getting caught up in another man’s lies. But Dwayne can’t help but see Byrnes the way God sees him…lost and in need of the Savior. Will Dwayne ultimately seize the moment? ….and at what cost?
